Manda Hill

Being born into a creative family has always sparked my interest for design of any kind. As a young girl, I was so drawn to crafts and always wanted to make something unique, something people would say “that’s different.” At the age of 14 I began making recital gifts for the other girls in my dance group. I started by creating my first wrapped bunch out of silks. For as ugly as I think it is now, I still have it as a reminder of how and why I wanted to become a floral designer.

I began my career as a floral designer in 2008 after receiving my Associate’s Degree in Floral Design and Interior Plantscape at Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, PA. After school, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside AIFD members and to demonstrate design at the Philadelphia Flower Show.

I worked in various shops to continue learning and growing. It was during this time that I learned the art of wedding design. My whole perspective of this field went from liked to love in just a short time. There is no greater appreciation for what I do than to see the looks on bride’s faces the day of their wedding and knowing I created this for them.

After taking time off to start my family, the need for working with flowers was still there. I was given the opportunity to become a part of the Haddonfield Floral Company. This shop has been my home for the past few years and I am so happy to be part of this amazing team! You will usually see me on Wednesdays and Saturdays ready to greet and help you pick out the perfect bouquet for your special occasion.

My favorite flowers—

Peonies. I love their natural beauty that allows them to stand out on their own.
